This is Dr. Sasan Khodabakhsh. I often get asked by my patients, how much does it dental implant
cost? The short answer that it depends. And in this video, I'm going to try to answer all the factors
that are involved in the pricing of a dental implant.
You know, typically a dental implant, it consists of three different connections, you have the
implant itself, which is the part that goes in the jaw, you have what's called the abutment that fits
over the implant. And then you also have the crown that fits over the button, which is the part
that you actually chew on as a restoration itself. Other factors determine the cost of the dental
implant, for example, the demographics, where does this patient live? You know, someone that
lives in Kansas, for example, what may get quoted a different price than someone that lives in
New York City? Another factor is the dentist that's placing that dental implant, you know, as a
general dentist placing the implant? Or is it a specialist placing the implant, general dentists can
have a lot of experience placing dental implants, and also, you know, their experience level is an
important factor. So do your research when you decide on the provider that's going to be placing
that implant for you. Another important factor is the lab that's being used, you know, this lab
somewhere, you know, overseas, or is it you know, a tried and true lab, right here in America that,
you know, stands behind their product and their material. Because whatever we put in the mouth,
you know, we want this to last a very, very long time. Another factor that determines the cost of
the implant is the warranty that's given, you know, some dental offices do give like a one year or
five year warranty, and no at some point, Dental Implant Center, we give a lifetime warranty, as
long as a patient comes out every six months for their regular checkups and cleanings. Another
factor that I want to mention, you know, typically, you know, when a patient comes in, and once a dental implant is, you know, after we take the, you know, 3d x-ray and we take our x-rays, you know, there may not be enough bone in the area that we want to place an implant. So, you know,
we have to add extra bone, we have to augment the tissue. You know, there's a lot of different
factors that can increase the price of a dental implant. So those are discussions we want to
definitely go with, go over with the patient. When determining the price. The cost of a dental
implant can range anywhere from the low end from $3,000 up to a high end of $5,000. Based on
all the different factors I discussed earlier. At summit point Dental Implant Center we offer a free
consultation for dental implants. Please visit our website to schedule your next appointment.
