People who have been missing teeth for a long time may suffer from a weak jaw that lacks the bone density needed to securely hold implants and restoration in place. Dr. Khodabakhsh at Summit Point Dental Implant Center in McKinney, TX, helps many patients overcome this issue withAll-on-4® dental implants.
This advanced technique involves placing implants in a way that maximizes contact with existing bone tissue, which can often allow patients to properly support an implant without the need for bone grafting surgery.
And there's even more to like about the All-on-4 method:
- The procedure often takes just one day
- It's less expensive than other implant techniques
- The implants can usually support a denture immediately after placement

How Much Do Dentures Cost?
Because we customize our dentures to your needs, we recommend you request a free consultation with our dentist at our McKinney office to get an accurate quote for dentures and learn about the pros and cons of each option.
- Traditional dentures cost less than implant dentures. However, traditional dentures cannot stop jawbone recession after tooth loss. Your dentures will need to be relined or replaced repeatedly to accommodate your shrinking jaw.
- Dental implants, while more expensive initially, help maintain the size and strength of your jaw because they replace tooth roots and provide the jaw with the stimulation it needs to maintain bone density. Although the denture will periodically need to be replaced due to everyday wear and tear, dental implants can last a lifetime.
Do You Offer Financing for Dentures?
Needing dentures can be stressful on its own without factoring in the price. You deserve to eat, smile, and talk confidently again — and we want to help.

Are There Different Types of Dentures
Traditional Dentures
Traditional full dentures have artificial teeth set into a gum-colored base. This style of denture rests on your gums and is held in place with suction and adhesives. During the denture design phase in McKinney, Dr. Khodabakhsh uses cone beam technology and digital scanners to map your mouth to ensure a secure fit. You remove these dentures every night for cleaning. While full dentures are economical, they won't stop the deterioration of your jaw. To adjust to the jaw's changing shape, you will periodically need to get new dentures or have your old ones relined for a secure fit.
Implant-Supported Dentures
These advanced dentures are held in place with dental implants. The denture is then attached to the implants, which ensures it will never embarrass you by shifting when you talk or eat. You care for this type of denture like you would your natural teeth. These dentures typically require six or more implants to hold them in place. However, if you qualify for the All-on-4 method, only four implants are needed to support the denture.
Partial Dentures
If you are missing teeth in several places, Dr. Khodabakhsh can restore your smile with a partial denture that fills the gaps with artificial teeth designed to look just like your natural teeth. Like traditional dentures, partial dentures are removable. They are typically held in place with clasps that attach to a nearby tooth and, where needed, include a natural-colored gum. For people who prefer the security that comes with implants, Dr. Khodabakhsh can use a combination of implant-supported bridges and crowns to address gaps left by a single lost tooth or rows of missing teeth.
Dental Implants versus Traditional Restorations
Dr. Khodabakhsh, who has been practicing since 2005, makes a point of addressing all your needs while also making care convenient.
